Fall 2016 Recap
GUMT’s three fall semester teams each attended two tournaments in October and November and brought home some serious hardware!
Team Felony outperformed almost any fall team in recent history with first place victories at William and Mary’s Colonial Classic (6-2 record) and University of Pennsylvania’s Quaker Classic (7.5-.5 record). Josh Dostal also won a witness award at the Quaker Classic with 20 ranks for his portrayal of Riley Winter, the plaintiff.
Team CHRM brought home trophies from both of the tournaments they attended, obtaining fourth place at Penn State’s Happy Valley Invitational (6-2 record) and sharing the stage with Team Felony at UPenn’s Quaker Classic, with a sixth place finish (7-1 record). Rachel Anderson also won a witness award at the Happy Valley Invitational with 20 ranks, as well as an attorney award at the Quaker Classic with 19 ranks.
Rachel and Thaameran led their teams to success at both Penn State’s Happy Valley Invitational (3-5 record) and Duke’s Tobacco Road Invitational (5-3 record). Team President Alexis Campbell also won an attorney award with 18 ranks at Duke’s highly competitive Tobacco Road Invitational.
