2020 Regionals Update!

Georgetown Mock Trial is going to ORCS! Congratulations to all three teams that competed this past weekend! 

Our A Team, captained by Kaarish Maniar and Sierra Townsend, received the second bid to the Opening Round Championship Series after competing at the Williamsburg, VA Regional competition. This team finished with a record of 7-1, and three individuals from this team were recognized for their incredible performance over the weekend. Congratulations to Ross Snyder and Austin Upshaw for receiving Outstanding Attorney Awards, as well as Arjun Ravi for earning an Outstanding Witness Award! 

Captained by Ania Zolyniak and Julia Benbenek, our B Team also competed at the College of William & Mary this past weekend. With a final record of 6-2, this team also received a bid to the Opening Round Championship Series! Several individuals were also recognized for their exceptional performance as well. Congratulations to Talin Antarkar for receiving an Outstanding Attorney Award, Lorinda Ruz for an Outstanding Witness Award, and Allemai Dagnatchew for winning an Outstanding Witness Award for her role on the bye-bust team this past weekend!

Our C Team, captained by Jenna Creighton and Neil Tracey, received an Honorable Mention at the Washington, D.C. Regionals this past weekend! After competing against some tough teams, they ended the competition with a record of 5-3 and were part of the three-way tie for the last bid to ORCS!

We are so proud of all of our members for making this organization so successful this past weekend. We wish our A and B teams lots of luck as they are preparing to compete at ORCS in Lancaster, PA from March 6-8! Hoya Saxa!
