GUMT Goes to Nationals!

Georgetown Mock Trial is going to Nationals!!! 

Both our A and B teams competed at the Lancaster Opening Round Championship Series tournament this past weekend. Our A team finished the competition with an impressive 6-2 record, receiving a bid to the National Championship Tournament in Chicago! Our B team also had an exceptional performance this past weekend, ending the tournament with a record of 5-3 against an incredibly difficult field. 

A huge congratulations goes out to Sierra Townsend for receiving a perfect 20 ranks and an Outstanding Witness Award! We are also extremely proud of Allemai Dagnatchew for being the only witness to receive an Outstanding Witness Award on both the prosecution and defense at this competition! Congratulations to the both of you for such a stellar performance!

Both teams did such a great job this weekend, and we are excited to be sending our A team to the National Championship Tournament in Chicago April 17-19!!
