2021 Regionals Update!

Last weekend, Georgetown Mock Trial’s A Team, captained by Alexa Huether and Austin Upshaw went undefeated at their AMTA Regional tournament with an overall record of 8-0. Individual members Michelle Dubovitsky and Arjun Ravi were recognized as an all region attorney and an all region witness. Congratulations to Alexa, Austin, Abby, Ahmed, Arjun, Audrey, Jacob, Lauren and Michelle for their phenomenal performance at regionals and on their bid to the Opening Round Championships Series on March 20.

This weekend our B team captained by Elisabeth Cajurao and Zev Burton and our C team captained by Isabelle Chiu and Steele Schoeberl competed at their AMTA Regional Tournaments 3-E and 3-H.

Our B team finished with an overall record of 4-4 with a perfect 20 CS and individual member Allemai Dagnatchew was recognized as an all region witness with 16 ranks on the plaintiff. Congratulations to this team for their performance at their regionals.

Our C team finished with an overall record of 6-2 securing GUMT’s second bid to the Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) on March 20-21. Individual members Natalie Gilbert and Steele Schoeberl were recognized as all region attorneys with 18 ranks on the defense and 16 ranks on the plaintiff. Individual member Shreysi Mittal was recognized as the highest ranking all region witness with 19 ranks on the defense. Congratulations to Isabelle, Steele, Adam, Maya, Natalie, Sandra and Shreysi for their phenomenal performance at their AMTA Regionals. We wish them all the best as they prepare further in the competitive season.
